Memorial trees attacked for second time

Sadly, the Memorial Trees planted by the Society to commemorate the men of the village who fell in World War One, have been vandalised for a second time. In the first attack one of the trees had its main trunk damaged, in the second attack it would appear that they have been poisoned.  One tree has died but hopefully the second one can be saved.

 

Society Visit to Aberglasney Gardens 3rd July, 2017

Thanks to Social Secretary  Ann Harries for organising another very interesting Society visit, this month to Aberglasney Gardens.

Society Awarded Lottery Grant

The Society is very pleased to announce that it has been successful in obtaining a grant from  Awards For All: The Big Lottery Fund to run a programme of visits to celebrate its 20th anniversary year.   Currently the visits will include:

 

Further details will be given in the next meeting to be held at the Carnegie Hall on August 7th.

The Society expresses its great appreciation to the National Lottery organisation for enabling this programme of visits to take place.
